Muscongus and Penobscot Bays

The Muscongus Bay samples, full of shells were lighter in color than all the Penobscot Bay samples.
It began with a gift of many bags, some soupy,  some chunky, some full of shells, and some with stones.  NOW WHAT!  

I looked at the spreadsheets and saw there were two different bays, Penobscot and Muscongus.  When I saw the words “submerged carbonate beach” I felt like a sea mammal sunning in some shallows without need for breathing air during an afternoon nap.   After opening many bags I decided to brush labeled swatches on a broken plate and fire it:
