Back side is the silica-rich pumice-mud from the eruption of submarine volcano at Havre. Earth's magma from Mid-Atlantic rock slurry is the brown basalt-like glaze on the chatter-patterned surface inside the bowl.  Other glazes, copper green and shiny brown were assembled from refined materials. Sea-glass center.
