From center outward: blue sea-glass framed by Mid-Atlantic Ridge slurry from the Kane Fracture Zone. Thick slurry was applied and evaporation and then contraction during firing caused the slurry to contract into the brick-like shapes. Matte white glaze was assembled from refined materials.
