THE SOFT EARTH SPEAKS
After 46 years of having a fuel-burning kiln, I dismantled mine in October, 2016. Pots in the store here, and some at my seaside studio are what remains. My amazement seems worth dispersing so I had sets of cards printed on paper and glaze images printed on silks.
Past, present, future! My roots as a painter deepened during the decades I did ceramics and these recent images from "I Ching", the Book of Changes have reminded me how I need to continually practice centering by reflecting on nature's laws.
I've been written into a National Science Foundation grant proposal for "Advancing Informal STEM Learning", using arts for increasing general public's science literacy. I'm pleased that fusions and collaborations of many sorts are happening.
