Pinching clay. Where it begins.

Beginning in 1996, the work was making pots glazed with seafloor samples, including tubeworm casings and other inhabitants of hydrothermal vents.  I also used a few rock slurries. 

You who have landed here might be an educator, a student of clay, a scientist complementing research by doing pottery, a collector, an organizational designer -- I'm maintaining this site for you to dig and and share.
